Vermont Academy has had a long list of coaches who have made the trip to campus, most have been on campus to see two of the country’s best prospects in Bruce Brown who is arguably one of the best defenders in the country, he has worked on his ball handling skills and now has been recruited as a lead guard.
The other prospect would be Tyrique Jones a 6’8 235 monster, one of the rebounders in the country and has developed into a low post nightmare when a basket is needed. A great on ball shot blocker with great timing.
Brown states, “Some schools are looking for me to play both guard positions, I’m looking to see how the teams play, if they run and get out on the break that’s the system I’m looking for”
Jones had his first taste of NEPSAC basketball this season and says, “It wasn’t that difficult for me to adjust, playing in the EYBL with Expressions Elite helped me prepare for the league. Each time we stepped on the court we where playing against the best players in the country”
The duo has now informed HDM that they intend to be a package deal for college.
Jones “ Me and Bruce talked about it and we plan to attend school together.
Brown “ Yes me and Tyrique would like to attend school together.
