Tyler Bertram, sharp shooting guard out of Vermont Academy by the way of Cooperstown, NY has committed to play for Head Coach Ron Sanchez and the Charlotte 49ers.
Bertram, who made a national name for himself after exploding onto the scene during the 2018 Hoop Hall Classic. The 6-foot-4 guard who was a member of the 2019 class will instead enroll at Charlotte as a member of the 2018 class.
Bertram who is known as one of the better shooters in the region and on the Nike EYBL circuit for the NY Rens chose the 49ers over St. Joseph’s, Rice, George Washington, Brown, and Hofstra.
The 49ers only had one recruit in Cooper Robb for their 2018 incoming class. Bertram adds an immediate scoring threat from deep.
Vermont Academy returns 2020 elite prospect Symir Torrence for the upcoming 2018-19 NEPSAC. Torrence has a list of suitors in hopes of being an asset to their collegiate program.
