Abu, Terrell narrow there list to four

Expressions Elite teammates have cut their list of schools to four.

Abdul Malik Abu Kimball Union Academy (NH) one of the best Power forwards in the country has cut his list to four schools, Providence, UConn, Florida, and N.C. State.  

Taken off the list were St. John’s, UCLA, Iowa State, Miami, Kentucky and Kansas State.

Abu states “I want to attend a school that is the best fit, as well as the best place that will develop me as a player and a young man”

“I called all the schools that did not make my final list and told them I really appreciate there effort and thank them for recruiting me” says Abu

Jared Terrell of Brewster Academy (NH), one of the top combo guards in the country has cut his list to four schools as well, Providence, Cincinnati, Oklahoma State, and URI.

Taken off the list were, Florida, UConn, UCLA, Miami, St. John’s and Xavier.

Terrell states “This is one of the biggest decisions of my life, I plan to make the right choice, so I’m able to continue my career after college”

“Informing the schools that did’t make the list was hard, I have built relationships with them.  But I wanted to inform them out of respect” says Terrell.

The two have one school in common, Providence. Ed Cooley PC head coach has been recruiting the duo for the past two years.  They have gone on record stating that they would like to attend school together, but would do whats best for themselves.  Both have spoke about committing on the same day at a press conference, no date has been set as of yet.  Both will visit Providence College August 10, 2013, before the elite camp

Jared Terrell 

Providence: Have a good relationship with the staff, their style of play fits what I like to do.

Cincinnati: Great relationship with coach Savino, I like how they developed Sean Kilpatrick

Oklahoma State: I like the system and how they were able to develop Marcus Smart, staff is great

URI: Great fit overall, I would be the focal point and their players get better. Staff is great.

 

Abdul Malik Abu 

Providence: I will play right away, close to home and my family would be able to see me play, great staff

Florida: Their bigs get better, great coaching staff who are proven that they can develop bigs.

N.C. State: Best league in the country, I will play right away, their system fits my style of play, great staff.

UCONN: Great history of producing pros, I will play right away, close to home, great staff

Chris Obekpa Lead New Heights To A Super Showcase Title

Chris Obekpa who recently committed to St. John’s where he’ll play for Steve Lavin dominated the 2012 NERR Super Showcase. Obekpa lead his team to a championship win that was won at the buzzer against the MA Rivals. Obekpa joins New England Prep players Jakarr Sampson, Max Hooper, Amir Garrett and Darrick Wood at St. John’s in the fall
