Falcons Win In Style

The defending Division 1 state champion Cambridge Rindge & Latin and the defending Division 2 state champions New Mission boys’ basketball team were lined up for one of the best match ups of the 2015-16 season.

Both teams have ambitions of defending their state titles in March and a game of this caliber is good preparation before a playoff run.

The match up lived up to the hype from the tip off as the Titans duo of Mitchell twins Charlie and Charles were able to keep the game close as the Falcons held a 18-14 at the end of the first qtr. But in the same breath The twin Ttitans fell into foul trouble and the Falcons senior 1-2 punch of Dimon Carrigan and Jakigh Dottin took advantage and opened the game up.

The Falcons outscored the Titans 25-7 in the 2nd period and a Dimon Carrigan (20 points, 20 rebounds) put back buzzer beating dunk to close the half was a symbol of how much the senior post player dictated the game.

The Falcons sealed up a 91-52 victory in the 2nd half where 2016 Massachusetts POY Jakigh Dottin contributed 18 points, 10 assists in a lopsided win over the Titans.
