After officially visiting the campus of UMBC, Daquon Ervin walked away impressed enough to give a verbal commitment to the Retrievers.
Ervin, a 5-foot-11 point guard from Northfield Mt. Hermon made a commitment to UMBC Sunday his coached announced. The Retrievers offered Ervin a scholarship in early February and made him a recruiting priority since then.
Ervin is a strong, quick guard who score the ball by either working his way into the lane. You can often catch the guard in full attack mode and at the stop of a dime pull up for an effective jump shot. Always under control and gets his teammates involved. A 2015 NEPSAC AAA honorable mention this year Ervin ends a heralded career in New England on a high note.
Daquon Ervin comes in apart of the 2015 recruiting class as UMBC loses guard Aaron Morgan.
