2016 Hoop Dreams Magazine Prep Classic Player Watch

There a many available prospects in New England and the Hoop Dreams Magazine Prep Class has more than 25 available division prospects being recruited from NCAA institutions from around the country. We have a few of those prospects you should keep an eye out for

Walter Whyte (St. Lukes) – A 6-foot-4 long and athletic prospect who plays above the rim. Whyte is a match up nightmare. Vitaliy Shibel (Lee) – At 6-foot-9 Shibel has the likes of Arizona St and Boson College on his trail. Has been using this post grad year to really develop his skills. Hamidou Diallo (Putnam Science) – A 6-foot-6 freakish athlete who is always in attack mode. One of the most sought after prospects in his class. Chuba Ohamas (Putnam Science) – A 6-foot-7 high level prospect who never takes a play off. Has the ability to defend multiple positions. Tyere Marshall (Putnam Science) – Still finding his way around the rim but his biggest asset is the ability to change shots. Geo Baker (Proctor) – A smooth athletic combo guard with a developed perimeter game. Caleb Green (Proctor) – A lead guard who takes care of the ball and knows how the run a offense. Dominque Senat (Marianapolis)- 6-foot-8 post player that runs the floor well making himself available and active on both ends of the floor. Joel Mensah (Redemption Christian)- The most promising athlete in the sophomore class throughout the Prep Classic. A 6-foot-10 there’s no secret to why the like of Kentucky have inquired about the big mans services. Duarte Christopher (Redemption Christian) – A heads up guard who is athletic and has very good court vision. Can score in bunches. Jermaine Samuels (Rivers) – Samuels ability to take over games when his team needs it makes the 6-foot-6 wing almost impossible to keep in front of. Azar Swain (Rivers) – Swain has gotten better every year at the prep level and has taken on the role of being a leader is one attribute that’s noticeable this year. Tshiefu Ngalakulondi (Proctor) – Ngalakulondi brings the energy on both ends of the floor finishing above the rim on one end and defending the basket on the other Jonas Harper (St. Lukes) – A point guard who does a good distributing the ball and getting his teammates involved. Joel Boyce (St. Lukes) – A sharpshooter is starting to make a name for himself with his ability to score from beyond the arc. Akim Sanni (Tabor) – A hybrid forward who shows flashes of potential with his ability to run the floor and ability showcase his athleticism rebounding also finishes above the rim. Tyreek Scott-Grayson (Suffield) – An extremely promising 6-foot-4 wing with a high ceiling. Garrett Stephenson (Suffield) –  A bruiser of an athlete down low who is a double-double machine. Like to play physical and never backs down from a challenge. Earns his keep on the glass Sukhmail Mathon (Holderness) – A stretch four who spreads out the defense with his ability to score from the perimeter. (Suffield) – A perimeter scorer who is starting to work his way to finishing in transition and create off the bounce. Philmon Gebrewhit (Holderness) – A perimeter scorer who is starting to work his way to finishing in transition and create of the bounce, great upside with a shot making ability.  Emmanuel Bl andoume (Jea De Brebeuf) – a 6-foot-4 wing who is climbing up the ranks with his smooth style of play off the bounce and unbelievable athleticism. Kejuan Johnson (Notre Dame Prep) – A 6-foot-5 combo guard who can score off the bounce and create space with the dribble to shake off defenders.
