2016 Hoop Dreams Magazine Day 1 Preview (Part 2)

The 2nd part to Day 1 of the Hoop Dreams Magazine Prep Classic continues to get better as the day goes on.

Carter Skaggs (High Point) a 6-foot-5 high level scorer leads Bridgton Academy (ME) against Yale commit Miye Oni and Suffield Academy(CT). Suffield Academy wil also get a boost from 2016 available wing Elijah Wilson who is a returning starter on coach Jeff Depelteau team. Head Coach Whit Lesure always gets Bridgton to match his intensity and always makes it a competitive match up for his opponents.

Nedeljko Prijovic (Texas St) 7-1 center and 6-foot-9 Marcel Kliniewsk (Seattle) are just two of many scholarship players that Lee Academy brings to Boston, MA to face Notre Dame Prep. Head Coach Ryan Hurd brings a talented group of prospects into town featuring Travis Atson (Tulsa), Peter Kiss (Quinnipiac), Max Curan (Milwaukee-Wisc). The future Umass Minutemen front-court of Chris Baldwin and Brison Gresham will be on display. There will be a lot of banging going on down low between the two squads making this one of the most intriguing games of the day.

To cap off a great day of hoops, Redemption Christian Academy (MA) and Proctor Academy (NH) will square off in a game against some of the best young Titans in New England. RCA features young scoring sensation 2017 guard Chris Duarte and promising sophomore 6-foot-10 Joel Mensah. Proctor Academy’s trio of Caleb Green, Geo Baker and Tshiefu Ngalakulondi are fun to watch. The backcourt of Green and Baker is one of the best in New England regardless of class. Ngalakulondi brings the energy on both ends of the floor finishing above the rim on one end and defending the basket on the other.

A great first day of hoops at Bunker Hill Community College. Tune in tomorrow for  Day 2 of the electrifying Hoop Dreams Magazine Prep Classic.
