Mustapha Heron, a class of 2016 6-foot-5 prospect out of Waterbury, CT committed to Head Coach Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers Sunday evening while visiting the school.
A former Pitt Panther commit, Heron decided to reopen his recruitment in April and was then being recruited by the likes of Alabama, St. John’s and Marquette.

A powerful scoring guard who is filled with a lot of potential to grow into one of the best incoming freshmen in the SEC, Heron is a gifted scorer who is very difficult to defend because of his strong built.
As a national consensus top 25 prospect in his class, Heron is Bruce Pearls highest rated commit during his tenure at Auburn.
