NERR Hoops Festival 16u Recap

In a field that was loaded with talent NE Playaz, Mass Rivals, Expressions Elite, and Middlesex Magic.Expressions Elite 15u squad ran through the 16u competition winning every game by more than 20 points and the championship 75-31. Here is a look at some of the standouts


6’3 Nyzair Rountree Expressions- (2018) Fresh off receiving interest from Notre Dame and Virginia the talented freshman displayed a high major upside posterizing a number of defenders throughout the weekend. Rountree showed elite level play making skills and ability to hit the long-range shot.


6’5 Aaron Wheeler NE Playaz-(2017) Wheeler showed high major potential scoring in transition and shot it well from behind the arc. Wheeler has all of the tools to play at a high major program


6’3 Brycen Goodine Expressions-(2018) Goodine is a smooth facilitating point guard showing the ability to attack the gaps and make plays consistently.


6’6 Chris Doherty NE Playaz-(2018) Doherty has a high motor and the ability to control the glass. Doherty continues to improve his skill set.


6’9 Tommy O’Neil Expressions-(2018) O’Neil shows high major potential having the ability to lead the fast break and make sound play making decisions.



6’6 Nate Laszewski NE Playaz-(2017) Long and lanky forward with the ability to stretch defenses with his outside touch.


6’5 Preston Santos Expressions (2018) Santos can score in an assortment of ways showing a high major upside.


6’0 Jared Simmons NE Playaz(2017) Simmons is super quick and a sneaky athlete showing ability to score in bunches.


6’1 Tyler Aronson Expressions (2018) Aronson is a heady guard showing the ability to finish above the rim and score from long range.


5’10 Jarron Santos RI Renegades (2017) Santos is a tough match up with the ability to score from long range and attack gaps of defenses.
