2016 PG Ikenna Ndugba
2016 Ikenna Ndugba is arguably one of the top point guards in the region. Only 15 years old Ndugba posses a great feel, timing and understanding of the game at his young age. He is a natural point guard with play making ability that likes to get after it on both sides of the ball.
On offense he does a great job of getting into the lane, finding open teammates or finishing at the rim himself with either hand. He is very dangerous in the open court, but is comfortable running half court sets. In the half court he likes to utilize the pick and roll where he attracts attention and makes the right pass. If open he can knock down the open shot or utilize his speed to attack the lane.
Standing at 6’0 with a strong frame he is a menace on defense. Ikenna has great lateral movement, quick hands, and a nose for the ball. Defensively Ndugba can pick up other guards full court with little or no help, forcing turnovers or disrupting the other team’s offense.
This past sesason Ndugba led his Brooks School basketball team all the way to the NEPSAC class B finals where they fell short to a talented Cheshire Academy team. Ikeena posses all the skills to be one of the top point guards in the country when it is all said and done. This AAU season the sophmore will be playing with Expressions Elite in the Nike Eybl, where he will surely be tested against the countries best.
Here is a look back at his succesful sophmore season.
