The defending NEPSAC AAA champions has had its best games against Brewster dating back to last years league championship. In the first match up of the season NMH used that same momentum to come away with the 73-71 win.
Brewster Academy figured they would try something new for this game, they decided to commit on defense and not allow the other team to score easy baskets. Brewster challenged each and every shot that NMH attempted, which gave them a commanding halftime score of 44-16. Martez Harrison led Brewster at the half with 10 points, while Jared Terrell added 9 points. 44-16
Coming out of the half NMH decided to try something different, inserting 2015 Jahshanti Allen, and 2015 Daquon Ervin into the line up. These two are fun to watch as they where a two man defensive nightmare. There havoc allowed NMH to get within arms reach.
Second half Ron Patterson the Syracuse commit ignited Brewster by going on a scoring tier to keep NMH at bay. NMH would go down easy as Michael Flemming (Dartmouth commit) went on a scoring drive scoring 12 second half points to keep NMH alive.
At the end Brewster prevailed as they win 86-58
