Maurice Taylor a 6’6 wing that attends Beaver Country Day in Chestnut Hill, MA. Taylor is apart of the 2013 class and one of the top wing players in the New England region. We caught up with Maurice Taylor Jr. and his father to talk about the recent commitment to NC A&T.
” I feel great about the decision,” said Taylor jr. “The coaching staff has alot of faith in me and it was just a good environment to be in.”
Maurice Taylor Sr. echoed the same praise his son gave about the schools atmosphere on being a major selling point.
“The community and administration support was incredible,” said Taylor Sr.
“The environment, the type of players they are bringing in and the opportunity to develop into a point guard.”
Maurice started his high school career playing at Cambridge Rindge & Latin School, where he helped lead his team to a successful season. Maurice transferred to Beaver Country Day School after his junior year and helped lead them to a Class B NEPSAC championship.
After garnering interest from CAA, A-10 and Patriot league schools, Taylor eventually picked NC A&T over Iona, BU and Loyola
Maurice will be teamed up with a familiar face from the NEPSAC league. Waylan Siverand, a 6’7 sophmore this year for the aggies played his prep career at Kimaball Union in Meriden,NH.
