It doesn’t get any better for the St Johns program, Today Brigton Academy star Darrick Wood de-commits from the program, and has opened up his recruitment.
St Johns has had its fair share of bad luck as 2011 commits Jakarr Sampson and Norvel Pelle were both signed to the red storm, but were ruled academically ineligible. The spiral of de-commitments began as both Sampson and Pelle have opened up their recruitment.
While Wood is still eager to hear from St John’s, expect for some major schools to bet involved with the scoring guard. Wood will surely help a number of programs who need help in the category of scoring.
“It was based off me wanting to make the right decision for my future, me being patient with the whole recruiting process and just putting myself in the best situation,” the 6’4” Wood said in an exclusive with Fivestarbasketball.com. “My AAU coaches and parents just told me to take it slow and make the right decision for me. Last time I jumped into it because I thought the situation was right for me.”
