It’s been a busy current event for Jermaine Samuels the past few days but the consensus top 50 prospect created the biggest moment of his high school basketball career when he announced his college decision.
The Rivers School (MA) 2017 wing had picked up an offer from from Duke, then shortly after announced his top 5 schools. Following that announcement Samuels took the first of his official visits to Villanova’s campus. Shortly following the visit Jermaine announced decision via twitter to play for Head Coach Jay Wright and the Villanova Wildcats.
Coach Jay Wright ad the defending NCAA mens basketball national champions have ben recruiting Samuels for the past 3 years and their recruiting efforts have paid off.
Villanova has found success in New England before landing current freshmen Omari Spellman (St. Tomas More), Darryl Reynolds (Worcester Academy), Eric Paschal (St. Thomas More/Fordham transfer).
Jermaine Samuels chose the Wildcats over Duke, Indiana, Kansas, and Georgetown.
